Lovely Wheels is an illustrated book by great comic book authors that I participated in that touches on the subject of iconic cars. The common thread of each page is led by François Walthery. These drawings come from an old collection of ex-libris originally produced by Cap BD Mons with the bookseller, it was decided to have experienced designers produced cars that marked the 20th century. It went from the 2CV to the Ferrari 250GTO via the VW Beetle. At the start of 2021, most of these have been remastered with current colors embellished with new ones. This collection which contains the history of the car and sometimes an anecdote, will not be seen as an exhibition but as a tribute to women and cars. To embellish these illustrations with beautiful mechanics, what could be more normal than to ask François Walthéry, the author of Natacha, to add his drawings of Women. Un livre de recettes au champagne et à la bière par le Chef Louis accompagné de sa charmante commise de cuisine d'origine teutone alias Gourmandine (de son vrai nom Gerda Unbeholfen). Elle l' accompagne tout au long de l 'album dans la réalisation de ses recettes. Bon elle n'est vraiment pas très douée pour le métier... Mais comment résister à ses charmes et son petit accent de Bavière...quand à son cuistot préféré, elle lui en fait voir de toutes les saveurs ! Gilson Dessinateur -Illustratreur Scénariste Gilson voit le jour à Bruxelles (Belgique) dans une commune proche de celle de Franquin située dans la banlieue de la capitale. Tout jeune il amuse déjà ses camarades de classe avec ses petits gribouillis. Devenu adulte après une carrière commencée à l’administration de la Ville de Bruxelles et auparavant de quelques années à la chaîne de télévision belge francophone RTBF ( avec notamment les émissions télévisées "L’Ecran témoin", "Le Jeu des dictionnaires", "Bla-bla", etc.) il prend la décision d’agripper fermement la plume et le pinceau sur les conseils de Dino Attanasio, lors d'une rencontre avec ce dernier au milieu des années '90. Il débute dans la bande dessinée sous le pseudonyme de Gil. En parallèle, il lance le site de chroniques BD « Le Graphivore », un site web proposant des chroniques concernant les dernières sorties et événements autour de la bande dessinée (le site devient BD Best en 2013). Il publie alors des illustrations satiriques dans la revue politique belge et il réalise par la suite des dessins pour la publicité. Avec le scénariste Eddy Spinoy, il crée 'L’Horoscope du fumeur' dans la collection « Inédits » aux éditions BDBelges en 2007. Son premier album personnel en 2011 (sous son vrai nom « Gilson » et non plus Gil) s’intitule ‘Wichita le petit Navajo’, un petit Indien sur un scénario de Jacques Devos ('Génial Olivier') dans la collection « du Manège » aux éditions Bagatelle. L’histoire d'un jeune Sioux qui en 2016 prendra le nom de Tatanka et dont l’album 'Une amitié inattendue, publié (en autoédition en 2016 sera remanié et réédité sous le titre 'Une journée extraordinaire' aux éditions La Surprise du chef en 2020). En 2010 il rencontre François Walthéry auquel Il tient à célébrer ce dernier en publiant un livre hommage intitulé 'Walthéries – 50 années de travaux marrants » dans lequel de nombreux auteurs saluent le travail du papa de 'Natacha' aux éditions Gprod en 2012. Un second Tome sous le même principe voit le jour l’année suivante. En 2016, il réalise aux côtés de François Walthéry l'album intitulé 'De toutes manières' sur un scénario de Christian Mathoul aux éditions GProd et la même année il s’associe à Bruno Di Sano pour un horoscope sexy rempli de jolies femmes intitulé 'Sexyscope'. En 2018 naît une collaboration avec Dragan de Lazare sur un opus d’hommages parodiques 'Hommage Collatéral' sur les classiques de la bande dessinée 'Rubine' et 'Natacha '. En 2021 avec le scénariste Hugues Hausman (fils de l’illustre René Hausman) s'entame la création de l’album 'Dessins Obscurs', un recueil de gags, sorte de clin d’œil aux 'Idées noires' de Franquin publié aux éditions La surprise du chef en 2022. L’année 2022 voit aussi la sortie d'un album de recettes (illustrées) au champagne et à la bière titré « Bulles Gourmandes » avec une préface de Carlos Vaquera (mentaliste et illusionniste) toujours édité chez La surprise du chef. En 2023, via la plateforme de financement participatif Ullule paraît chez Noir Dessin production l'artbook 'Zodiacoquins' ainsi qu’une nouvelle collaboration avec Dragan De Lazare avec un tout nouveau personnage nommé Inès, une espionne de choc et de charme chez Studio Coup de Noir. Cette même année voit le lancement d’une série de charme coquin en langue néerlandaise « Rooie Ortjes » Stripboek et un portfolio consacré aux hommage en BD à Mucha (SDC éditions). Il contribue graphiquement aux collectifs : 'Chansons paillardes' (Éditions du Fourbe Chinois, 2014), 'Concile à bulles' (Collection Armarius, 2014), 'Alianah' - une histoire de Guy d’Artet de Neufmoustier, le scénariste d’'Atoll 66', le 20e album de 'Natacha' – (BD Fly, 2015), 'Belles de Scène' (BD Fly, 2016), 'Menu belge' (2017), 'Lovely Wheels' - un ouvrage de voitures de légende - (CM éditions), 'Sortilèges III' (BD Fly, 2018) de belles sorcières sexy repris en intégrale en 2022 et 'Femmes de BD' (CM éditions, 2023). ​ 2024 verra le retour de Dessins Obscurs "Bulles noires" toujours avec Hugues Hausman et l'association de François Crunelle aussi à l'écriture. D'autres projets seront aussi concrétisés cette même années (les informations parviendront au fur et à mesure). ​ ​
